When his wife called me,
He had not slept for almost 48 hours
It was not as if he was not interested in sleeping,
But he was seeing strange things, ugly figures and beings, scary images, cult meetings..
He felt very uneasy and his words were out of place
He was the only one seeing these things
No one could understand him
It started on a Saturday morning
The sight started with him seeing himself amidst a group of men
They are like a cult group
He saw himself with them
They were talking to him too
At some point, they started bathing him
They bathed him with blood and gave him some to drink.
That morning started a long hours of horror that would stretch for almost 48 hours.
He had become a nuisance, even to his wife
His words had become incoherent.
Huge black figures were always around him
He saw another figure making incisions on him
He could not keep still
He had no control whatsoever
He started panting
All things were being done beyond his will
He could not eat, drink or sleep
The race for a solution started
His wife was torn
They called some clerics
They offered prayers
The prayers did not help; the scary events only intensified.
Whenever he is on the move, he has some figures following him.
He slept normally but woke up in a mysterious world without prior knowledge
Other solution providers came from different sources, but there was no way out.
He prayed too
He is a religious fellow
He would pray five times a day, facing a particular location
He did this religiously and nothing helped.
As he was praying, the scenes went on unabated.
The more he prayed, the worse it got.
The worst part was the incisions going on almost every hour on his body.
It was not what he could stop or touch
His in-law sent an emergency message to Paul around 10:30 p.m.
He had just concluded teaching his class and wanted to take a well-deserved rest.
But the situation kept him up, waiting for his wife to call.
That night would be the second night he had not closed his eyes for up to 2 minutes
He could not also go to work.
They were desperate for answers and solutions.
His wife reached out and they got on the call immediately.
As Paul prayed, he paused and asked them if he was born again.
They said no.
They went on to name their religion.
There was a temporary measure.
There was also a permanent measure.
The temporal measure was for Paul to use his authority to suspend the activity but it would return
Where the carcasses are, there the eagles gather.
He belongs to that realm; they can lay claim to his soul
The permanent measure was to give his life to Christ.
Paul told him.
He was ready.
Paul shared the gospel with him and his family.
He shared the reality of Christ’s nature and how he will be cocooned in his power.
He believed the gospel and confessed Jesus as His Lord and Saviour.
As soon as he did, the incisions stopped immediately.
The figures he was seeing could not touch him anymore.
Their numbers were reduced to one.
He could only see a shadow, but they could not touch him.
The cult scene stopped in its tracks.
For the first time in almost 2 days, he slept.
He had a blissful sleep that made him got to work late.
Over the next few days, the shadow left completely.

in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
