There was an important lesson I learned when I was serving in Borno State, Nigeria.
I served as a liaison officer between a project by Pastor E.A. Adeboye
And the higher learning institutions in Maiduguri
Annually, Daddy Adeboye would sponsor a training program for Architectural, Industrial Design, and Survey students…
The students were beyond the department mentioned
The program was to train these students in modern design software critical to their discipline
Then, it was a project handled by a company called Cadd Centre, based in Lagos State.
Pastor Adeboye funds it 100%
He will fly the staff of this company all over the country
Paid for the training of all students, no matter the number
And cover every other cost, and everyone was comfortable
Then, in Maiduguri, over 3,000 students were in Ramat Polytechnic and the University of Maiduguri
All students are issued an international standard certificate
Everything in the project is of a quality and international standard
The coordinator of the project for North East, Nigeria, called me to initiate the talks with a higher learning institution after the first phase was done
I visited the school’s principal officers
All we need from them is approval of a hall
I met with the Rector and other directors in the school
The politics were draining and frustrating
It was a project to upskill your students
You should embrace it with all your might and ensure we have all the support
We had a deadline
Since it was not happening, and efforts were proved abortive,
We initiated another move
We would hold the training outside of the institution’s facility
So, I started looking for where to use
I didn’t care again
When they didn’t give us the opportunity
We had to create our own opportunity
It was advice a brother gave me at the time
I learned it that day
If you are being denied a platform
Go, create yours
Do not rant about how wicked people are to you
Create your opportunity
Today, Meno Global Outreach is launching its Meno Kids Cartoon Network
I have tried to do this for many years,
To start raising children in the knowledge of Christ
However, I was booted out of a structure with unprintable names
If we reach them with Christ,
They will grow and know Christ early
They will grow in the wisdom of God and favour with Men
Children/Teenagers going wild and later finding Christ is a big risk
They may never find Christ again
We will eliminate that risk by God’s Grace
